Eyelid Surgery Case #94

This 38 year old patient came in for a consult at our Willowbrook office to discuss options to rejuvenate her appearance.  Her main concern were the bags under her eyes.  She had researched her options and understood the importance of an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon.  She had on examination psuedoherniation of the fat pads on both lids.  In addition, she had some malar ptosis and descent and flattening of her malar area.  After discussing the benefits and drawbacks of surgical versus non-surgical options, she decided to undergo a bilateral transconjunctival blepharoplasty and 2.8 ccs of Artefill (now called BellaFill) were used to restore volume in her malar region.  The patient is seen 5 weeks after her procedure.
