Eyelid Surgery Case #143

This 24 year old patient was bothered by under eye bags which made her appear more tired and older than she actually was.  I first used tear trough-filler but she desired further correction and long lasting results so I performed a Transconjunctival Blepharoplasty to remove excess lower eyelid fat through an incision of the inside of her lids.  The quality of her lower eyelid muscle and skin tone made her an excellent candidate for this surgical technique which offers various benefits compared to traditional lower eyelid surgery including a faster recovery, less trauma to the eye area, less social downtime, and the eye shape is better preserved.
