This 5 ft 173 pound mom from Houston, TX desired a more proportionate breast size and relief from back and shoulder pain. At the time of her consultation, she wore a 36H bra size and hoped for a reduced cup size closer to a full C, possibly a D.

During our consultation, we explored the option of using Galaflex mesh for soft tissue support. We discussed the fact that this "internal bra" absorbs over 18-24 months and can provide additional strength internally to support the shape and hold of the breast.

She is seen here before and 6 weeks after her surgery. I performed an inferior-pedicle breast reduction, reinforced with bioabsorbable mesh. 971 grams (2.14 lbs) of skin and tissue were removed from the right breast, which was larger, and 888 grams (1.95 lbs) were removed from her left breast for improved symmetry.
