This 44 year old patient opted to have her silicone gel implants removed after developing a significant capsular contracture and distortion of her implants. During her consultation, we discussed revision options including implant exchange, implant removal, and removal of implants with a breast lift to address the drooping that occurs after removing significant volume from the breasts.  She shared with me that she felt breast augmentation was the right decision for her years ago as it boosted her confidence and self-esteem and greatly improved how she viewed herself.  She felt that now, removal with a lift was what she desired to see when looking in the mirror.
