This 51-year-old mother of 2 came to see me to address loose excess skin left behind after having successfully lost a significant amount of weight with Ozempic. In addition to concerns about her midsection, she also wished to address ectopic breast tissue in her axillae (armpits) which caused discomfort and also made her feel self-conscious. I was able to address these concerns in a single operation, the details of which are as follows:
I began by performed VASER assisted liposuction, removing 200 cc of lipoaspirate from the central upper abdomen, 1300 cc of lipoaspirate from the right lateral abdomen and lower back, 1300 cc from the left lateral abdomen and lower back, 800 cc from the right upper back and bra line, 900 cc from the left upper back and bra line. (4500ccs in total). I then performed an excision of ectopic breast tissue in the axilla. The weight of the resected tissue from the right axilla was 123 grams, from the left axilla was 148 grams (approx. 0.6lbs in total). During her abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), 2314 grams (approx. 5.1 lbs) of excess skin and tissue were removed from her abdominal pannus (aka the apron of overhanging skin and fat along). She is seen here before and 4 months after surgery and is thrilled with her natural-looking results and feels more confident than ever.
