This 34-year-old mother of 4 came to my Houston practice seeking a breast lift and tummy tuck to address the changes brought on by pregnancy and breastfeeding. During her consultation, she shared that she was happy with her 32DD/DDD breast size but desired more lift while preserving as much of her natural breast tissue as possible. To achieve this, I recommended using the internal bra technique with Galaflex mesh, which adds support and shape for long-lasting results.
For her breast lift, I performed a Ruth-Graf autoaugmentation, a technique that involves using the pectoralis muscle to create a supportive sling for breast tissue, repositioning it from the base to the upper pole for natural cleavage. To improve symmetry, I removed 29 grams of tissue from the right breast and 67 grams from the left.
Next, I turned my attention to her abdomen and performed diastasis recti repair to address her significant abdominal wall separation. After contouring her waist in this fashion (sometimes referred to as an "internal corset"), I removed 507 grams (approx 1.12 lbs) of excess skin to complete her transformation.
As a board-certified plastic surgeon and a mother of 3, I find that mommy makeover surgery is one of the most rewarding procedures I perform. If you're looking to restore or reinvent your pre-pregnancy figure, I invite you to schedule a consultation at my Houston office.
