What does “EmpowerRF” actually refer to?
This one causes a lot of confusion. Technically “EmpowerRF” is not the name of a specific treatment but rather, it’s the name for the workstation that powers the delivery of different non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments such as V-Tone, FormaV, and Morpheus8v. By simply changing the hand-pieces and settings on the EmpowerRF workstation, this one piece of equipment delivers these unique treatments:
This small, anatomically shaped applicator delivers intravaginal electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to rehabilitate weakened pelvic floor muscles and enhance neuromuscular coordination. Each treatment is akin to a super-charged Kegel session. You can sit back, relax, or catch up on work as this FDA-cleared technology takes care of inducing therapeutic muscle contractions without effort on your part. Treatments last about 20 minutes and are performed once a week for 6 weeks, involving little-to-no discomfort or downtime.
Like Morpheus8, this device combines the benefits of microneedling and radio-frequency (RF) energy to remodel collagen and tighten tissue but Morpheus8v utilizes a unique handpiece specifically designed to safely and effectively treat the delicate inner and outer tissues of the vagina, vulva, and labia. Appointments begin with the application of topical numbing cream which sits for 30 minutes before the treatment begins to ensure patient comfort.
This treatment utilizes RF-energy and localized heat to rejuvenate the vaginal opening and inner/outer labia while deeply penetrating the muscles of the vaginal wall. We recommend the treatment once a month for 3 months. Some patients experience noticeable results within 3 – 4 weeks after the initial treatment and return after 2 months – the details of which are discussed during the consultation. Occasionally, the FormaV hand-piece may not easily enter the inner canal during the second treatment, in which case, we wait another month before proceeding with the next treatment.
Can non-surgical treatments provide REAL relief for these issues?
1. Urinary Incontinence:
Incontinence can result from various factors, including childbirth, aging, lack of exercise, and menopause, all contributing to a weakened pelvic floor and difficulties in controlling urination. VTone is FDA-cleared to address stress, urge, and mixed urinary incontinence in women.
